About Me

Who am I outside of this world I've created? Let's talk about that...

A.C. Marholin romantasy reader

The Full Story

Have I mentioned how weird it is to talk about myself? I think I'm supposed to do this in third person but I'm not great at following the rules here... Buckle up, it's not about to get any better. I'm A.C. Marholin. You can call me just about anything, but don't call me late for dinner. I am an indie author self-publishing my debut novel, The Variance, at the end of this year (2024). The series, A Test of Time (ATTOT), is set to be a five-book fantasy series. And, if you haven't looked at my books yet, there's a work in progress (WIP) for a contemporary romance. I also have several other books roaming around in my head.

I used to write a lot as a child/teen, but I never pursued it much as an adult. I suffer terribly from imposter syndrome (and brutal honesty apparently), so I never thought I would be able to attract any publishers. When I got heavily back into reading, I started a bookstagram. There I met some amazing indie authors and learned that self-publishing is a thing. So off I went!

Beyond writing, I do a lot of reading (can I write that off as research on my taxes?). I read nearly every genre from contemporary romance to fantasy to horror to historical fiction to non-fiction to manga to...well, I think you get the idea! I work as a nurse during the day onboarding new staff, educating existing staff, and, when I'm lucky, running classes for CNAs and student nurses. I love to teach!

What else? I have three dogs, a cat, and a wild fiance who could pass as a fuzzy bear. But he's my solid support and cheerleader. He also keeps the kids (of which we have two) on track and alive. Not to mention he's an amazing cook and stellar at keeping the house running. I'm telling you, if you find the right man to be the stay at home dad, don't overlook it!

Enough about that...I'm a pretty open book. If you have questions, send them to me!
